       This video is about a type of art called ‘tall painting’. Holton Rower is a person who put forward the ‘tall painting’. This is very interesting to me. It seems so funny.

                                                            

           I like painting. I draw a picture in leisure times. When I was at secondary school, I used to like the art lesson most. I used to go in the contests. And I won several of them. I still hide awards which I received. This feels so good. Painting makes me relaxed. Sometimes I am bored and feel bad. At that times I draw a picture. I draw whatever I want and use various colors. While I am painting, I feel good and relaxed. I like drawing heart most. Sometimes I draw hundreds of. Sometimes I give the pictures of heart to my friends. I love hearts =)

                                                                          

          As I said at first, I like painting. That’s way this video attracts my attention. People who are in the video, seem relaxed. They are pouring the dyes freely. The colors are so vivid that they seem wonderful. The dyes are poured in a harmonious way. While watching, you feel relaxed. It is so interesting that the dyes are not intermix and the colors are not disappear. I think that tall painting is a funny activity and I want to experience it=)

                                                                   I LIKE WINTER
                                                                     

                                                                   

 There are four seasons which we feel. We all know that winter is one of the most beautiful seasons. It is cold and windy, but snowflakes drop from the sky so beautifully that you forget the coldness and winds. While you are watching snowfall, you feel the tranquility.

                                                                     

         Snow is a form of precipitation. Snowfall generally occurs when the air temperature is between -4 C and -20 C. Although there are a large number of types of snow crystal, all of them are the six-cornered. The crystal structures of snowflakes are not exactly the same. Wilson Bentley, who is from ABD, did first researches about snow crystals. He has taken the photo of snow crystal for fifty years. He got six thousand photosi but none of pictures were identical. I think this is very interesting. There are millions of snowflakes, but their shapes are completely different. Most of the snowflakes are seemed untidy, but infact they have an excellent appearance. Since they reflect the sun’s light completely, they are seemed white. Three days ago the weather was snowy. A few snowflakes dropped to my friend’s hand. We looked at them carefully. Their shapes were quite clear. They were very beautiful.

                                                                                

                   I love the snow so much. When I was at secondary school, there was too much snow. Because of the snowfall, the schools were closed for two weeks. During that two weeks, there was no electricity and water was frozen. The life conditions were difficult. In spite of this, that two weeks were beautiful. I and my friends went out everyday in order to play snowball. We built snowmen and lay down on the snow. These were too funny. I can not forget those days.

       

         At present, the weather is snowy again. I can watch the snowfall until morning. While I am watching, I am very happy. Snowfall makes me relaxed. As a result I like winter, I like snow=)

                                                             EARTHQUAKES

          Earthquake is a type of catastrophe which we might experience. Earthquake is the result of a sudden release of energy in the Earth’s crust that creates seismic waves. Earthquake is also known as a quake, tremor or temblor. Earthquakes occur naturally. Earthquake is destructive. It causes to shaking, landslides and avalanches, fires, tsunami and floods.

          

          The largest earthquake that has been measured in Turkey occurred on 17 August 1999. I was six years old at that time. My parents woke up me and my brothers and we went out. That night everybody, who was living in our street, went out and we spent the night out of doors. I was afraid, but that night was also nice. I played games with my friends. Our neighbors made tea. We sat around the light of a lamp all night. That night is memorable for me.

         

          First earthquake, which I feel by myself, occurred last year when I was at high school. My roommates and I were sitting in our room. Suddenly the beds and windows started to shake. We were so scared. I didn’t know what to do. Then I heard the voice of the teacher on duty. She said that we must go out. I took my purse and mobile phone and went out in our pajamas. Approximately we waited for one hour in the dormitory’s garden. I felt so different, because I felt the earthquake for the first time. When we entered the dormitory, we were still afraid. I couldn’t sleep until late hours at that night.

          

                  The last major earthquake, which we experienced in recent months, was the earthquake occurred in Van. This was magnitude 7.2. Hundreds of buildings collapsed. Hundreds of people died and injured there. Various grants were sent from four side of Turkey.

         

         Catastrophes are events which we don’t want to occur, but these are inevitable. Minimizing the risk of damage is possible. Buildings and other structures must be designed as earthquake-resistant. Building owners must have earthquake insurance and people must be informed about earthquakes.

                                                        DECISIONS IN LIFE

       

                  Many people have to make selection in different part of their life. They have to decide about their business life, private life, physical appearance,education etc.Their decisions according to some factors.For axample university students decide where to stay during university education.While some of them choose to live with their families, others choose to live at college. These two options have different qualities.

            

           In monetary terms, the students who choose to live with their families are lucky. They eat at home and don’t pay for the meals.Their parents provide their needs. The students who live at home are relaxed.They do what they want. They don’t need to stay away from their families, miss their home.They sleep in their own bed and eat different meals which their mother prepare. When they have a problem, they share it with their families and they can handle it. Although living at home has advantages, it has also difficulties about transportation. The students’ home can be far away from the university and because of this, they waste a lot of times on the way. As to friendship, they don’t spend much time with their friends. Since they live at home, they don’t see each other frequently.

             

                            For the students who choose to live at college, life is more difficult. In contrast to the students who live at home, they are far away from their families. They miss them, their beds, brothers, mothers’ meals so much. Generally they eat outside and this situation causes to spend too much money. They have to provide their own needs by themselves and pay to dormitory fee and pay attention to their outcomes different from the students who live at home. When they have a problem, they have to handle it themselves. Some dormitories have some rules and students have to obey to these rules and this situation makes the students a bit stressful. They aren’t relaxed. But they don’t have difficulties in transportation in contrast to who live at home. If their dormitory is at the university’s campus, they can get to the university and don’t waste their time. And friendship is important at college.They have a lot of friends at college. As opposed to the students who live at home, they spend time with their friends and help each other when they need.

              

              To sum it all up, these two life styles for university students are advantegous and disadvantegous at the same time. Every student chooses one of them according to his/her situation. In my opinion, living at home feels perfect but living at college prepare us for life. It teaches us to handle difficulties by ourselves. When we live at college, we understand that friendship is very important and necessary. I am not regret living at college.

                                                           HOME OR CINEMA

       There are many people in the world. They are all different from each other. Their decisions, desires, opinions and life styles are different. They spend their days in different ways. They don’t do the same things at their leisure times. While some people like playing games and doing shopping, others like walking or watching a movie. Again, there is a difference about watching a movie. While some people who want to watch a movie choose to watch at home, others choose to go to the movie theater. These two options have different qualities and similarities. And both options are good activities and make people relaxed and happy.

      

        Generally, people watch movies with the help of the internet at home. This is very easy for them. Whenever they want to watch a movie, they might do this easily. They don’t waste much time. Since they watch at home, they don’t need to wear special clothes. They might even watch in their pijamas. This makes them relaxed. They might eat whatever they want while they watching. They don’t need to be silent, because there aren’t a lot of people at home. Watching movies at home is also cheap for people.They don’t need to pay much money.Its atmosphere is very relaxing.But there is no chance to watch new movies at home. You need to wait for this.

       

          As to watching movies at the movie theater, this is not easy for people who want to watch a movie. They have to wear special clothes in order to go to cinema. They can’t go out in their pijamas. They might waste much time while they are going. In contrast to people who watch a movie at home, they can’t eat whatever they want while they watching. There are a lot of people at cinema and because of this they have to be silent. Unlike watching at home, going to the cinema is expensive. They might spend money on transportation and tickets. But both of them are good and popular activities. Also watching movies at cinema has different atmosphere. There are a big screen and the sound system. They can see everything easily and feel the movie. And there is a chance to watch new movies on cinema.

         

         To sum it all up, there are advantegous and disadvantegous on these two options. One is more expensive, one is more relaxing etc. But both options are popular leisure activities especially for youngs. People might choose one of them according to their life and economic conditions. Generally , I watch movies at home. I think that this is easier and cheaper. But watching movies at cinema feels different.                                                            STARS IN OUR LIFE

          

              Always we heard it is said that ‘people can not live alone, loneliness is for God’. I think this word is true. We need other people during our life. When we birth, we need our parents. With the help of them, we learn a lot of things. Then, when we start to go to school, we have friends. From that time, they are indispensable part of our life.

             Friendship is very important feeling. As time passes, we understand that better. We spend most of our time with our friends. When one of us needs help, we do our best without thinking. When one of us is unhappy, we try every way in order to please him/her. We trust each other. We ell each other everything. We keep our secrets forever. Sometimes we trust our friends most. We tell something which we can’t tell to our family. But every friend is not real friend. Real friends are always with us. When we are sad, they are sad and when we are happy, they are happy too. True friends don’t hurt and angry with each other. They bear each other also.

              Friends are very important for people. A friend is someone who knows all about you. A friend gives hope when life is low, a friend is a place when you have nowhere to go, a friend is a shoulder when you want to cry, a friend is honest, a friend is true, a friend is precious, a friend is everything. Our friends are the most beautiful gifts that we have ever got in our life.

              Like everyone, ı have a lot of friends in my life. And they are important for me. But three of them are quite different for me. They have been my friends for thirteen years. They are always with me, although we are far away from each other now. I can tell them everything and they always listen to me. We never be offended each other. They are Merve, Dilan and Zeynep. Good friends are like stars. You don’t always see them, but you know they are always there. And they are my stars=)

              Titanic is one of the most impressive films ı have ever watched in my life.Since ı watched it first, ı have watched more ten times again.It is so impressive that ı feel the same feelings everytime when ı watch.Titanic is a love story.

              American Jack Dawson who is a poor artist set off trip with his friend Fabrizio after winning tickets on poker game and meets the society girl Rose DeWitt Bukater who is on her way to Philadelphia to marry her rich snob fiancé Caledon Hockley. Rose feels helplessly trapped by her situation because she doesn’t love him and thinks of suicide until she is rescued by Jack. Jack pulls her back onto the ship Cal is therefore obliged to invite Jack to dinner at their first-class table where he suffers through the slights of his snobbish hosts. Rose's mother and Caledon Hockley try desperate measures to keep them apart.But they don’t achieve it.Rose and Jack fall in love.Rose leaves her fiancé Caledon Hockley for Jack.Jack draws her in the nude wearing the invaluable blue diamond Cal has given her. The blue diamond is called ‘the heart of the ocean’.Then Caledon put the diamond to Jack’s pocket and Jack arrests. But the Titanic collides with the iceberg on April 14th, 1912.Rose saves him and their fairy tale love turns into a struggle for survival on a ship.They try to survive.Then Caledon gives his jacket to Rose and the diamond is its pocket.Then Rose and Jack run away from Caledon.Rose dosen’t get on lifeboat without Jack.And the ship sinks on April 15th, 1912. Titanic, the ship of dreams also known as unsinkable,sinks. Jack dies and Rose survives.84 years later deep-sea explorer Brock Lovett has reached the most famous shipwreck of all - the Titanic. Emerging with a safe believed to contain a diamond called 'The Heart of the Ocean', he discovers the safe does not hold the diamond but a drawing of a beautiful woman wearing it. When Brock is later interviewed on TV, he shows the drawing to the cameras, and a 100-year-old woman named Rose Calvert living in Michigan recognizes the woman in the drawing - herself! On a visit to Brock's explorer ship over the wreck, Rose tells her story of the Titanic and her lover.But she doesn’t tell that the diamond is with her and she throw it into the sea..

                  I like this film.I like the costume which characters wearing and the song.Everytime when I watch it,I admire their eternal love.To me, love is an indescribable feeling  and every person must feel it.If I were Rose,I would do the same and I would pursue my love=)
